Shinning Studio in Baixa

Step into the Shinning Studio in Baixa, a 40 m² boutique studio designed around natural light and a private balcony that earns the name. Set on the 1st floor of an 18th-century Pombaline building in Baixa-Chiado, the Shinning is the brightest of our larger studios, designed for travellers who want plenty of space, a real kitchen, and a balcony to start the day with coffee in the sun.

The building itself is part of the story: rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake under the original Pombaline urban plan, it keeps the thick stone walls, generous ceilings and tall sash windows that defined Lisbon's downtown for almost three centuries. Every studio sits inside the original Pombaline shell, balancing heritage architecture with thoughtful contemporary design.

The interior is contemporary loft on a historic shell: high ceilings, original sash windows along one wall, and a layout that puts the bed near the windows for natural waking light. A mini-bar in the corner cools wine and water without taking over the room. The kitchen runs along the opposite wall, induction hob, espresso machine, fridge, full crockery, with enough counter space for actual cooking.
