The building itself is part of the story: rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake under the original Pombaline urban plan, it keeps the thick stone walls, generous ceilings and tall sash windows that defined Lisbon's downtown for almost three centuries. Every studio sits inside the original Pombaline shell, balancing heritage architecture with thoughtful contemporary design.

The space is honest: one large open-plan room with the bath at one end, the bed in the middle, the kitchen and sofa at the other end. It works because the ceilings are 3.2 metres high and the windows are 2.5 metres tall, there's no clutter, only volume. Original Pombaline pine floors run wall to wall, restored and lightly stained. The walls are 70 cm of solid stone, which means you'll forget the cobblestones outside.
