Beautiful Suite in Baixa

Step into the Beautiful Suite in Baixa, a 27 m² suite on the 1st floor of the Pombaline building where Lisbon Studios operates, with two private balconies looking out onto the heart of central Lisbon. Designed for couples who care about light, view and quiet, three things that almost never come together in a city centre.

The building itself is part of the story: rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake under the original Pombaline urban plan, it keeps the thick stone walls, generous ceilings and tall sash windows that defined Lisbon's downtown for almost three centuries. Every studio sits inside the original Pombaline shell, balancing heritage architecture with thoughtful contemporary design. The defining feature of this suite is the light: two balconies on the same side, both opening east-southeast over the Pombaline grid, mean the room is filled with golden morning light from sunrise to about 11:00, then quiet shade for the rest of the day.

Highlights

• Two private Lisbon-style balconies typical of old buildings in the city centre, large enough to stand on, with views over Rua dos Fanqueiros and the classic tram passing by
• Private bathroom with walk-in shower
• Comfortable queen-size bed with linen sheets and memory-foam mattress
• Smart TV with Netflix
• High-speed Wi-Fi
• Full air conditioning
• Mini-bar with complimentary first welcome bottle
• Self check-in by WhatsApp 24 hours before arrival

Location

Rua dos Fanqueiros 184. The suite sits on the 1st floor of the building. From the door: 4 minutes to Praça do Comércio, 6 minutes to Rua Augusta, 7 minutes to the Sé Cathedral, 10 minutes to Castle of São Jorge. Baixa-Chiado metro 100 m away.

Ideal for couples who want the brightest room in the building, photographers chasing morning light over Lisbon rooftops, or anyone who has stayed in too many windowless hotel rooms and decided that this trip will be different. Smaller than our largest studios but with the best light in the building, a deliberate trade.
